The USGS has not made that change on the 24k maps and there's no explanation as to why the FS maps made the change. I've only had altitude sickness once before ironically, on Humphreys Peak back in 1998. Gaps in the trees afford occasional glimpses of the San Francisco Peaks, but its not until you reach the junction with old Freidlein Prairie Road/Kachina Trail that views open up to the north (around 1.7 miles).
